Final Placement for Historic Bell

This bell was perched atop the one-room schoolhouse built in the 1800's along Edgerton Road. The bell was owned by lifetime resident Joe Behal and was originally on his family property. He has since donated it to the Historical Society. Pictured are Joe Piastrelli, designer, and Candy Korn, President.

STAGECOACH MARY

An actress from Women in History will present a portrayal of Stagecoach Mary Fields. Born into slavery in the 1830's that eventually led her to becoming the first African American woman to carry mail on a Star Route for the United States Post Office. Presented at the Broadview Heights Community Center, Willow Room, 9543 Broadview Rd. Sponsored free by the Broadview Heights Historical Society & Museum on March 27, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
